Prepackaged Anode Bags

The prepackaged anode is a corrosion-prevention solution designed for waterworks applications. It consists of high-purity anode enclosed in a protective anode bag made from durable, chemical-resistant material. Each unit is securely packaged to maintain integrity and facilitate ease of installation. The backfill is a precise mixture, which draws moisture for best performance and creates a uniform environment for the anode to consume itself evenly. The anode is formulated with minimal impurity levels, ensuring consistent performance in the harshest environments. The prepackaged anode is designed to be installed within cathodic protection systems for pipelines, tanks, and other submerged metal structures in the waterworks industry and fuel pipelines. The primary function of the anode bag is to provide effective cathodic protection. A simple method of protection connects protected metal to a more easily corroded “sacrificial metal” to act as the anode. The anode corrodes instead of the protected metal.

This anode operates with an open-circuit voltage of 1.05 (-V .Ag/AgCl), ensuring a consistent protective current.
